Trent Beretta undergoes neck surgery

Trent Beretta of AEW has undergone neck surgery.

The 37-year-old AEW star posted a photo from his hospital room on Thursday, updating fans as to his status, indicating that he has undergone a revision surgery after first having his neck fused in 2021.

Beretta revealed that two of the screws from the first fusion broke and had to be replaced.

Trent did not reveal a recovery timetable.

He wrote:

“quick little american neck surgery. turns out I wrestled so hard that two of the screws from my neck fusion broke. very cool. very tough. screws have been replaced. next I will be doing revenge.”

Beretta was written out of AEW programming last month in an angle where Orange Cassidy hit his former Best Friends stablemate with a wrench. The two had been feuding for some time, including a singles match at Double or Nothing in May won by Cassidy.

Beretta turned on Cassidy in storyline this past April, then later joined The Don Callis Family as the feud with Cassidy continued to unfold.
