Update on future direction of AEW Rampage

With the buzz around what AEW Collision will end up being, Dave Meltzer provided an interesting detail as to the future direction of Rampage in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Meltzer noted that Rampage “will turn into what Dark and Dark: Elevation were, more to showcase younger talent.”

Last week, Meltzer reported that Rampage would remain on TNT on Friday nights in its hour-long format even after the expected launch of the new Saturday show on TNT this June.

The direction is notable as both Dark and Dark: Elevation quietly wrapped up their runs on YouTube last month due to an exclusivity clause signed with Warner Bros. Discovery as part of the new deal for Collision, first reported by Andrew Zarian.

Meltzer noted that the plan is for Dynamite and Rampage to tape together on Wednesdays as has been the norm with Collision and Ring of Honor to tape together on Saturdays.

ROH airs on Tony Khan’s HonorClub platform and is not part of the exclusivity clause for now.
