Averno defends the CMLL light heavyweight title against MJF tonight at Arena Mexico. Neon & Templario & Titan vs. Barboza & Difunto & Zandokan Jr. is the semi. If they sell out this show with Mistico, Mascara Dorada, Ultimo Guerrero, Hechicero and Atlantis Jr. being in Tijuana, that would be unreal. Alberto El Patron, billed as Alberto Del Rio, voiced over the character Jorge El Guapo in the animated movie The Bad Guys 2 which premiers today in the U.S. and debuted yesterday in Mexico. This is for the Spanish language release. I’m not sure if he’s involved in the English version of the movie. Roberto Figueroa, a close friend of Alberto’s and current AAA television announcer, voices over the ring announcer in the movie in Spanish and Hugo Savinovich does the voice of the ring announcer in the English version.
A correction on the official title of Jeremy Borash from today’s issue. We wrote he was Director of Latin America operations stemming from a Figueroa interview. Borash’s official title is Vice President of Content and Development.
