Former TNA World Champion Eddie Edwards got into a physical altercation with a fan at Friday’s Final Resolution that saw both men exchange slaps.

Edwards was teaming with Brian Myers, challenging The Hardys for the TNA Tag Team titles in a tables match. Edwards was on the outside of the ring and appeared to take umbrage with what a fan at ringside said as seen below.

They started jawing at each other, leading to the fan slapping Edwards in the face which Edwards then responded to in kind before lightly shoving the fan and walking away. In an unusual move, the altercation was shown during the broadcast in full as if it was an angle.

However, it apparently wasn’t as Fightful reported the unnamed fan was “immediately escorted from the building and turned over to local police.” As of Saturday morning, there has been no update to the story.

Edwards and Myers were unsuccessful in their attempt to defeat The Hardys.
