KUSHIDA vs. Rich Swann set for next Impact Wrestling

NJPW star and former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion KUSHIDA will make his Impact Wrestling in-ring debut next Thursday against former Impact World Champion Rich Swann.

Swann got the match Thursday after asking for a title shot against current champion Josh Alexander. Impact VP Scott D’Amore said that with a win, Swann could get closer to a shot at the champion.

After his WWE contract expired in April, KUSHIDA returned to NJPW and this will mark his first U.S. match since leaving WWE.

After vignettes began airing several weeks ago teasing her return, Killer Kelly will make her official return to Impact against an opponent to be named. Wrestling a handful of times for Impact, Kelly took nine months off starting in the fall of 2021 to heal up from injuries.

The Honor No More/Bullet Club feud will continue as former World Champion Eddie Edwards takes on former X-Division Champion Ace Austin.

Here’s the current lineup of matches, all of which were taped last weekend in Louisville, Kentucky:

  • KUSHIDA vs. Rich Swann
  • Killer Kelly vs. TBA
  • Eddie Edwards vs. Ace Austin
