Mia Yim becomes a free agent after Impact Wrestling contract expires

After returning to the company this past May, Mia Yim’s Impact Wrestling contract has expired and she is once again a free agent.

Fightful first reported the news, adding there was no extension.

Yim lost to Mickie James at Friday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view and also competed against Taylor Wilde at Saturday’s TV taping.

After being released by WWE in November 2021, Yim made her surprise return at May’s Under Siege, helping out Taya Valkyrie after Deonna Purrazzo attacked her after a match.

The 33-year-old wrestled 16 times for Impact since May, competing for the Knockouts title at Emergence against Jordynne Grace and for the Knockouts Tag Team titles once, teaming with Grace against then-champions VXT.

Yim, the wife of AEW’s Keith Lee, has worked only a few indie matches since she was released by WWE.

Impact is experiencing another shuffling of its roster following this past weekend’s Bound for Glory and TV taping. Several members of Honor No More reportedly wrapped up with the company in a story that will play out over the next few weeks.
