The Motor City Machine Guns will look to begin their third reign as Impact Tag Team Champions as they challenge current titleholders The OGK at October's Bound for Glory.
Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin earned the shot with their win over NJPW Strong Tag Team Champions Aussie Open on Thursday's show for their fourth straight victory.
The two were TNA tag champs for nearly a year from 2010 through most of 2011 before holding the Impact version for 97 days through the late-summer/early-fall of 2020.
They will face Mike Bennett and Matt Taven for the first time ever. The Honor No More faction members defeated the Good Brothers for the titles in August and picked up a DQ win last week over Josh Alexander & Rich Swann in their first title defense.
Here's the current lineup for Bound for Glory, set for Friday, October 7th on pay-per-view:
- Impact World Champion Josh Alexander defends against Eddie Edwards
- Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace defends against Masha Slamovich
- Tag Team Champions The OGK defend against Motor City Machine Guns
