Ricochet to face Amazing Red at August indie appearance

While Ricochet is preparing for this Saturday’s Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In, a big match against another innovative high flyer is on the table for his August return to the indies.

Announced on Wednesday night, Ricochet will take on Amazing Red at House of Glory’s High Intensity on Friday, August 1st from the NYC Arena. The show will stream live on Triller+.

This will be the third time the two have wrestled in singles action with the first taking place in March 2013, followed by a September 2017 HOG rematch. They split wins in those bouts.

It’s only Ricochet’s second indie bout since 2018 with both taking place this year. His last was for FSW as part of this past March’s Chris Bey benefit show where he defeated Rich Swann. Before that, his last came in January 2018 for PWG, losing their top title to Chuck Taylor before he headed to WWE.

The 36-year-old has a history with the HOG promotion dating back to 2014 when he won their heavyweight title in a tournament. He appeared just twice for HOG after that year, losing in title challenges of Anthony Gangone and in the aforementioned Amazing Red match.
