Stardom has confirmed that Natsuko Tora suffered a torn ACL while wrestling in the main event of their latest pay-per-view.

At Stardom’s “Yokohama Dream Cinderella 2021 in Summer” on Sunday, Tora challenged for Utami Hayashishita’s World of Stardom Championship in the main event. But the match was stopped 11 minutes in after Tora suffered the knee injury. Hayashishita retained her title by doctor’s stoppage.

“Following last night’s injury, today Natsuko Tora was diagnosed with a torn ACL to her left knee,” Stardom announced. “We apologize for any upcoming card changes. Your heartfelt words and warm wishes to Natsuko are appreciated, and thank you for your continued support of Stardom.”

The injury happened when Tora jumped off the apron and appeared to be going for a double stomp to Hayashishita’s back on the outside. One leg hit Hayashishita and the other was injured when it hit the floor.

Prior to Tora’s injury, she had been announced as an entrant for this year’s Stardom 5Star Grand Prix tournament.
