New number one contender crowned for AAA Cruiserweight Championship
A new number one contender was crowned for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship.
In the first match of the night at AAA Noche de Los Grandes week two, fans saw Cruz Del Toro vs. Joaquin Wilde vs. Lince Dorado vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Octagon Jr. compete against each other for earning a shot at the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
Following a closely contested fight and a spot that involved Octagon Jr.’s injury, it was Lince Dorado who finalized his spot to challenge for the Cruiserweight title.
The final moments of the match saw tension rise between Wilde and Del Toro, before Dorado interfered and turned their attention toward him. In the end, Dorado dropped a Shooting Star Press on Wilde to keep him down for the three-count and earn the opportunity.
As of now, AAA has yet to confirm the Cruiserweight championship match between Dorado and Rey Fenix.
Fenix had previously won the title from Ladero Kid on the week 1 episode of Noche de Los Grandes.
