New number one contender crowned on WWE NXT

Lola Vice victorious on this week's NXT

A new number one contender is set for the NXT Women’s Championship.

In the main event of Tuesday’s show, Lola Vice defeated Kali Armstrong and Kelani Jordan to become the new number contender to Kendal Grey’s NXT Women’s Championship. The finish had Jordan with the upper hand after landing a 450 splash on Armstong. However, Vice entered the ring, leveled Jordan with a kick, and covered Armstrong to earn another title match, though it wasn’t mentioned when it would take place.

Earlier in the night, the rivals met face-to-face backstage, with Vice making it clear she was going to win the match. Grey suggested to Vice that she better win.

A rematch from Great American Bash

Both Grey and Vice have been in the title hunt for most of 2026. It was Vice who emerged victorious at Stand and Deliver, defeating Grey and Jacy Jayne to win the title. But Grey persisted in the months that followed and scored the victory at the Great American Bash PLE to win her first title in NXT.

In the weeks since, Vice said that she wanted another shot, but Jordan also insisted on getting a crack at the title. After Armstrong jumped Grey as she was doing commentary, a three-way was set for this week’s show to determine the next contender.
