TNA’s Santino Marella makes appearance at WWE NXT Vengeance Day
Following the official announcement of a partnership between WWE and TNA, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella re-appeared on WWE TV again.
That time came Saturday at NXT Vengeance Day as the former WWE Intercontinental Champion joined his real-life daughter and “NXTNA” liaison Arianna Grace during a backstage segment.
Grace interrupted NXT general manager Ava and said there was someone she needed to meet. She then introduced Marella who said she remembered Ava when she was just a little girl before Ava suggested they go talk about some things.
It was Marella’s first appearance on any WWE programming since the 2020 Royal Rumble when he attempted to enter the women’s Rumble as Santina.
Cora Jade has been appearing on TNA TV as of late, picking up a win this past Thursday to go 2-0 on the Thursday night show. More crossover between the two brands is expected as the year progresses.
