Women’s North American title match part of updated WWE NXT Great American Bash lineup

Women's North American title match set for Great American Bash

New matches are set for the Great American Bash.

Two matches were added on Tuesday ahead of this weekend’s Great American Bash. Zaria will defend the North American title against Tatum Paxley in a rematch, while Shiloh Hill will look for revenge against Tristan Angels.

Hill returned to action after being taken out by Angels following the Mr. NXT pageant a few weeks ago, distracting Angels in a match against Aaron Rourke that was for the Evolve title. In a backstage interview, Hill said that his speech end of the pageant was the first time where he opened up to the NXT audience, and Angels taking advantage of that made him feel that they were far from even. He promised further revenge at the Great American Bash.

Meanwhile, Zaria cut a promo after Paxley attacked her last week. She said she would grant a rematch to Paxley for Sunday’s show just so she could beat her again.

Additionally, the Speed title match for Sunday was set when Arianna Grace defeated Izzi Dame to win the latest Speed tournament finals, earning a title match against Wren Sinclair. Shawn Spears accidently cost Dame the match, and saw himself get kicked out of the group after he took a pinfall in a tag team match pitting him and Niko Vance against Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux.

Robert Stone also mentioned in a backstage segment that he had talked to Rey Mysterio and luchadores from AAA would be at the PLE, though details were scarce.
