AAA notes: GCW stars attack Vikingo, Marvel Disney Plus show announced

Following Saturday’s Triplemania XXX in Mexico City, AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo was attacked backstage by GCW stars Joey Janela, Alex Colon and Gringo Loco to set something up for the future.

The three laid out Vikingo in the clip seen below with Janela later tweeting, “Biggest moment of your life followed by the biggest beatdown of your life!” and telling AAA to say hello to “the biggest outlaws in America!!!” GCW retweeted the clip, and others reacting to it, several times.

GCW and AAA are running a co-promoted show Sunday in Mexico that will see Janela take on Pagano and Colon vs. Miedo Extremo. Vikingo isn’t scheduled for the card.

Recent news had Vikingo, who defended his title Saturday against Rey Fenix, getting his visa so he can work shows in the U.S. Based on Saturday, GCW appears to be a  likely landing spot for some dates when that happens.

At Saturday’s TripleMania, AAA debuted a trailer to the crowd for El Origen De La Mascara — a lucha libre show that will bow on Disney Plus on December 21st featuring AAA’s Marvel-themed Luchadores.

It’s unknown if the show will be available internationally or solely on the regional version of Disney Plus.

AAA has yet to release the trailer on social media or YouTube, but a fan in attendance recorded it:

AAA and Marvel (owned by Disney) have been in partnership since 2020 where the company has created in-ring characters based on Marvel heroes.
