Davey Richards to defend MLW National Openweight title at NWA 74

A new title match has been added to this month’s two-night NWA 74 pay-per-view as MLW National Openweight Champion Davey Richards will defend against Thrillbilly Silas.

The match will take place at the second night. Both are taking place at the Chase Ballroom in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 27th and 28th.

Richards won the title at MLW Battle Riot IV in a match that has yet to air. He defended the belt at last month’s NJPW Music City Mayhem against Rocky Romero.

Night 1 | Saturday, August 27th:

  • Bully Ray vs. Mike Knox tables match
  • Burke Invitational Gauntlet for a NWA Women’s title match Sunday
  • NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Homicide defends against Kerry Morton
  • NWA Women’s Champion Kamille defends against Taya Valkyrie
  • NWA National Champion Jax Dane defends against Cyon
  • Matt Cardona vs. TBA

Night 2 | Sunday, August 28th:

  • NWA World Champion Trevor Murdoch defends against Tyrus
  • Battle royal for inaugural NWA U.S. Tag Team titles
  • NWA Women’s Champion (Kamille or Valkyrie) defends against Burke Invitational winner
  • NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions Pretty Empowered defends against The Hex in a street fight
  • MLW National Openweight Champion Davey Richards defends against Thrillbilly Silas
