NWA Crockett Cup tag team tournament to return in March

The NWA Crockett Cup tag team tournament will return this March as a two night pay-per-view.

Set for Saturday, March 19th and Sunday, March 20th from the Nashville, Tennessee, Fairgrounds, the single elimination tournament will feature sixteen teams.

Current NWA Tag Team Champions La Rebelion, former ROH and GCW Tag Team Champions The Briscoe Brothers, The British Invasion (Nick Aldis and Doug Williams) and Strictly Business (Chris Adonis and Thom Latimer) were announced as the first four teams.

First created in 1986, the Cup tournament was held annually through 1988 before Jim Crockett Promotions sold the company to Ted Turner which eventually became WCW.

NWA owner William Corgan revived the Cup in 2019 with Brody King and PCO defeating Latimer and Royce Isaacs in the final to win the then-vacant Tag Team titles.

The tournament was set to return in April 2020 in Georgia but was postponed due to the pandemic.
