NWA to announce creation of Women’s TV title on Power

Another championship is coming to the NWA.

PWInsider first reported Thursday that the promotion will introduce a Women’s TV title on this Tuesday’s edition of Power with the announcement to be made by NWA USA commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Madusa.

It’s unknown when it will be introduced into storyline with next month’s two-night NWA 74 anniversary pay-per-view looking like a possibility.

According to the report, the belt itself is in the design stage and is being done by belt designer/producer Dave Millican.

The men’s TV title is currently held by Tyrus and, as noted by PWInsider, it holds a “Lucky Seven” rule where after seven successful title defenses, it can be relinquished for a shot at the NWA World title. The rule is somewhat similar to Impact Wrestling’s Option C.

It will be the eighth current NWA title, joining the men’s and women’s World titles, the men’s and women’s Tag Team titles, the men’s National title, the men’s Junior Heavyweight title, and aforementioned TV title.
