Title Changes On This Day in Wrestling (July 9th)

WCW Bash at the Beach 2000 Booker T Champion

July 9th is another pretty eventful day when it comes to pro wrestling title changes. According to wrestlingdata.com, there are around 276 notable/major title changes on this day historically.

Arguably, the ‘biggest’ moment from a historical perspective has to be WCW’s Bash at the Beach 2000 event, which saw Booker T win the WCW Title from Jeff Jarrett after a night of shenanigans like Hulk Hogan winning the belt and Vince Russo on air claiming you’d never see him in World Championship Wrestling again.
