Trevor Murdoch vs. Chris Adonis set for NWA’s Back for the Attack

Trevor Murdoch will defend his NWA National Heavyweight title against Chris Adonis on the NWA’s Back for the Attack pay-per-view this Sunday afternoon.

Adonis is the former Chris Masters and will be making his NWA debut. While both worked in WWE at the same time, this will be their first singles match.

This will be the second defense of the title Murdoch won by beating Aron Stevens last September and his second this year. After several years away from wrestling, he began working indies again in 2018 and started with the NWA in 2019. He advanced to the finals of the NWA TV title tournament, losing to current AEW roster member Ricky Starks.

Sunday’s live show will also feature:

  • NWA World Champion Nick Aldis vs. Aron Stevens
  • NWA TV Champion Elijah Burke vs. Thom Latimer
  • Tyrus vs. JR Kratos
  • Thunder Rosa vs. Kamille for a shot at the NWA Women’s title
  • Crimson vs. Jax Dane vs. Jordan Clearwater vs. Slice Boogie
