Former Wes Lee sets date for return to indies

Dezmond Xavier — the former Wes Lee in WWE NXT — now has a date for his return to the indies.
Announced on Thursday, Xavier will compete for House of Glory on Saturday, November 15 as part of their Superclash event in Brentwood on Long Island, New York. His opponent has yet to be named.
The 36-year-old was part of a small group of cuts on October 10 that included some other NXT and WWE ID wrestlers. All, including Xavier, have a 30-day non-compete clause.
Xavier is a former WWE NXT North American and Tag Team Champion and had been featured as a key talent since signing with WWE in 2020. He’s in his 14th year of being a pro wrestler, starting out his career in the Maryland/Ohio/Pennsylvania region of the United States.
A longtime teammate in The Rascalz with Zachary Wentz, Xavier made his TNA Wrestling debut in 2017 and spent the better part of four years in the company.
Since 2011, Josh has been a contributing editor to Wrestling Observer/F4WOnline.com and also hosts the Punch-Out podcast. He has also written for Fight Magazine, Bloody Elbow, Bleacher Report, and other websites. He's a 2000 graduate of the University of Maine, worked in pro sports, and once was an indie ring announcer.
