Reported reason why WWE changed Money in the Bank date
The reported reason for WWE modifying the date for Money in the Bank yet again has been disclosed.
According to Fightful Select the date was changed due to a scheduling conflict with broadcast partners. It was internally discussed for the past month with key figures in the company notified of the revision.
The Premium Live Event was initially announced to take place on August 29 but was postponed to September 6 before eventually landing on October 10, 2026 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Ticket sales for the general public will begin on July 10 (Friday).
Money in the Bank is critical for wrestlers as the winner of the classic briefcase earns the opportunity to cash-in the contract on any WWE champion within a year. History has proven on numerous occasions how it can catapult a wrestler’s growth trajectory in WWE.
This month the company is gearing up for Night of Champions on June 27 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Qualifying matches for the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments are underway on Raw and SmackDown. So far, Oba Femi and Dominik Mysterio have reached the first round of semi-finals with IYO SKY and Raquel Rodriguez from the women’s division. The tournament winners will earn a title opportunity at SummerSlam in August.
