Queen Aminata withdraws from ROH Women’s Pure title tourney semifinals, Final Battle update
The inaugural Ring of Honor Women’s Pure title tournament has its first official finalist, but not by the means they hoped.
Revealed during Thursday’s ROH Final Battle media call, Tony Khan said that Queen Aminata was not cleared by doctors Wednesday when her semifinal bout with Deonna Purrazzo was set to be taped. As a result, Aminata forfeited the match and Purrazzo has advanced to the finals at Friday’s streaming special.
Purrazzo now awaits the winner of the Yuka Sakazaki vs. Billie Starkz semifinal that airs on tonight’s ROH on HonorClub.
Aminata also had to be pulled from last month’s AEW Blood and Guts match due to a neck injury. She had only hoped to be out for a few weeks.
