ROH announces Global Wars UK episode
Ring of Honor will once again host a Global Wars edition of the show.
Announced during Thursday’s HonorClub broadcast, Global Wars UK is set to air next Thursday at 7 PM Eastern, but no matches were revealed.
While not announced, the bouts will be filmed either this Saturday during AEW’s visit to Cardiff, Wales, for Collision or this Wednesday when they head to Manchester, England, for a combo Dynamite/Collision taping.
The Global Wars specific episodes have increased this year as they held similar tapings while in Australia for February’s Grand Slam and in June while at Arena Mexico for Grand Slam. The Australia show was the first time Global Wars had been featured since 2019.
The Australia show featured Athena vs. Alex Windsor while the Mexico show saw ROH World Champion. Bandido defending against Mascara Dorada, and Blue Panther vs. Lee Moriarty which also featured a surprise post-match run-in by Bryan Danielson.
The concept began in 2012 as Border Wars and was renamed to Global Wars in 2014 following the announcement of NJPW as a partner.
