Two title matches official for Ring of Honor Final Battle

The card continues to fill out for this month’s Ring of Honor Final Battle streaming special with two title matches made official during Thursday’s TV show on HonorClub.

In a TV Time segment, Ring of Honor World Champion Chris Jericho learned who his challenger will be at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday, December 20th: Matt Cardona.

However, it came off as surprise to Jericho even though he said he came up with a challenger from New York City. However, he wasn’t expecting to see his former partner in WWE instead of whomever he chose.

It will be Cardona’s first-ever ROH appearance and his first singles match with Jericho since a March 2016 WWE Raw. Jericho will be looking for his second title defense.

In a match that has been building on ROH TV for weeks, reigning Tag Team Champions Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara will defend against The Righteous.

Vincent & Dutch are looking for their first taste of gold in ROH since they held the Six-Man titles as recently as 2022 while Rhodes and Guevara have defended the titles just once since winning them in August.

Here’s the current lineup for the Friday, December 20th streaming special from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City:

  • ROH World Champion Chris Jericho defends against Matt Cardona
  • ROH Tag Team Champions Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara) defend against The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch)
  • ROH Women’s TV Champion Red Velvet defends against Leyla Hirsch
