Ash by Elegance working toward in-ring return, reveals TNA Genesis role

Ash by Elegance

Just as she was at the top of the TNA Knockouts division, Ash by Elegance had to relinquish the Knockouts title last fall and said she was going to retire.

Things have changed, however, and she is working toward getting medically cleared to return to the ring.

Talking to Busted Open Radio Thursday to hype up the TNA Impact on AMC premiere, the 36-year-old said she doesn’t have to prove anything but admitted she might have to in the ring.

“I definitely want to come back. I’m definitely working better than ever to become medically cleared again. Right now, I have taken a little bit of off-time to recover and deal with some medical issues, but I feel as though, the doctors… I never say never and I don’t let the doctors tell me no either. I’m always trying to prove them wrong and get back on my horse and keep riding to the top,” she said.

The retirement and title relinquishment happened at last September’s Victory Road, but the medical issues she referred to have yet to be revealed. At the time, she said she was “no longer able to compete” but has remained on TV and aligned with The Elegance Brand.

She also revealed she will be the co-host for this Saturday’s Genesis pre-show along with Busted Open’s Dave LaGreca.
