X-Division title match added to TNA Sacrifice

Leon Slater | TNA

TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater will put his title on the line against Eric Young at this month’s Sacrifice streaming special.

The match was announced during Thursday Night Impact after Young challenged Slater after recently putting him out of action with a piledriver. Young earned the shot by virtue of his Feast or Fired briefcase win earlier this year that contained a title opportunity.

It will be their first time against each other.

The 21-year-old Slater has held the gold for more than 230 days after winning it last July at Slammiversary. To this point, he has ten successful defenses with the last coming against Nic Nemeth earlier this month.

The X-Division title is one of the few in TNA that Young has never held. He is a former TNA World, Tag Team, Knockouts Tag Team, and King of the Mountain Champion.
