TNA reportedly discussing creation of new championship

TNA Wrestling

TNA Wrestling isn’t letting the glut of championships in wrestling deter them from reportedly adding a new title of their own in the women’s division.

Reported by Fightful Select on Wednesday, TNA may be looking to add “some kind of midcard women’s championship” after the idea was pitched. No further details were available other than a women’s tournament “of some sort” was planned for July at one point. The outlet was unclear if the recent change in creative delayed any execution of a plan.

The promotion currently has six champions which includes the TNA World Champion (Mike Santana), Knockouts Champion (Lei Ying Lee), International Champion (Mustafa Ali), X-Division Champion (Cedric Alexander), Tag Team Champions (The System), and Knockouts Tag Team Champions (The Elegance Brand).

It would be the first new TNA title created since the aforementioned International Championship which replaced the Digital Media title which was created in March 2025.

TNA currently has 18 women listed on their roster.

It’s possible an announcement could take place this Sunday at their Slammiversary pay-per-view.
