TNA reportedly working toward agreement with Ohio Valley Wrestling
TNA Wrestling and Ohio Valley Wrestling are reportedly working toward an agreement.
PWInsider reported on Thursday that they’ve been told the two promotions are working out a deal that would lead to OVW becoming “essentially a developmental system for TNA.”
The report notes that a deal is expected to be signed shortly.
Mike Johnson also writes that, according to sources from Ohio Valley Wrestling, TNA President Carlos Silva has been in attendance at several recent OVW events. However, Silva was not at the recent 1400th TV episode celebration.
TNA Wrestling has seen a number of departures in recent days, including longtime creative team member Tommy Dreamer and producer/former Impact World Champion Sami Callihan. Tessa Blanchard, Steve Maclin, Dani Luna, and Myla Grace have all been granted their releases in recent months.
Additionally, TNA World Champion Mike Santana’s contract is said to expire next month, and WWE is said to have interest in signing him.
