TNA Wrestling confirms recent ‘workforce reduction’
TNA Wrestling has confirmed the departures of Tommy Dreamer and Tessa Blanchard.
In a press release issued Wednesday, TNA described the moves as part of a “workforce reduction, designed to streamline operations and sharpen strategic focus and profitability.”
TNA’s press release reads:
“TNA Wrestling today announced a workforce reduction, designed to streamline operations and sharpen strategic focus and profitability.
TNA’s creative leadership team will see an immediate shift. Tommy Dreamer, who has worked in TNA’s Creative and Talent Relations Departments, is leaving the company as TNA and Dreamer mutually agreed to part ways.
TNA Wrestling also has come to terms on the release of Tessa Blanchard.
We wish Tessa, Tommy and others the best in their future endeavors.”
Dreamer revealed on Busted Open Radio on Wednesday that he and TNA President Carlos Silva had mutually agreed to part ways. Blanchard’s departure was first reported on Tuesday.
Dreamer and Blanchard are part of a recent string of departures from the company. Former Impact World Champion Steve Maclin was granted his release earlier this month, while Dani Luna and Myla Grace were also released from their contracts earlier this year.
There have also been reports that TNA World Champion Mike Santana has garnered WWE interest for when his contract expires next month.
