A June 29th rematch of former UFC welterweight champions in Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler is off due to a Woodley hand injury, first reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto Friday morning.

Okamoto didn’t have details on the injury but said Woodley is going to see a hand specialist next week. He added that the UFC is going to attempt to keep Lawler in the main event and find another opponent.

The fight was set to headline the company’s return to Minneapolis for the first time in seven years that is also earmarked for ESPN.

Woodley and Lawler faced off in July 2016 when Woodley knocked Lawler out to win the UFC welterweight title. Lawler is coming off a controversial March loss to Ben Askren while Woodley lost his title to Kamaru Usman on the same show.

Woodley has had issues with his hand before, getting surgery due to a dislocated thumb last year.
