WWE star Drew McIntyre cast in new Hollywood movie

WWE star Drew McIntyre has been cast in another Hollywood movie this year. 

He will star in The Last Druid featuring Russell Crowe, his son Tennyson Crowe, along with Pablo Derqui and Stacy Clausen being added to the cast. The film, directed by William Eubank, follows the story of a Druid discovered by a Roman Emperor forcing him to protect the people under his reign with Crowe’s character, a Celtic Elder guiding him in the process. The movie is already being filmed in Spain. 

This role marks McIntyre’s latest venture into the film industry following his involvement in Amazon MGM’s Highlander reboot starring Henry Cavill. Over the past few years, McIntyre has expressed interest in an acting career while being an active in-ring performer. 

Meanwhile, with his extensive acting career it looks like his WrestleMania performance was the last for a while. Jacob Fatu defeated him in an Unsanctioned Match and proceeded to target the World Heavyweight Championship from Roman Reigns.
