Adam Pearce will once again serve as the general manager for SmackDown this week.

The show’s regular authority figure, Nick Aldis, was attacked by Gunther in the closing moments of last week’s show.

On Thursday, Pearce posted a video announcing that he will have “a ton to address” on Friday’s show, saying:

“Just wanted to let everybody know that after everything that took place last week on the broadcast, I will once again be in the captain’s chair as your acting SmackDown General Manager, with a ton to address. And I will do just that tomorrow night, live in Albany. And believe me, it is official.”

No matches have been announced thus far for the Friday, July 17 edition of WWE SmackDown. The show is set for MVP Arena in Albany, New York. WWE’s event page advertises CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Gunther, Tiffany Stratton, and Trick Williams for the show.
