Baron Corbin appears on MLW Fusion following recent WWE return
Bishop Dyer, now back to wrestling as Baron Corbin in WWE, made a surprise return to MLW on Saturday’s episode of Fusion.
This week’s edition of the show was taped on April 12 at Festival Hall in Charleston, South Carolina, prior to Corbin’s WWE return on the July 10 SmackDown.
Corbin teamed with Josh Bishop and Donovan Dijak against the Contra Mercs team of Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Mads Krule Krugger in the main event of Fusion. He was a surprise entrant in what had originally been scheduled as a three-on-two handicap match.
Two weeks ago, Corbin was officially stripped of his half of the MLW World Tag Team titles that he held with Dijak, who would later announce Bishop as his new championship partner.
Also on Saturday’s edition of MLW Fusion, Kushida retained the MLW World Middleweight title in a four-way match against Alan Angels, Taiji Ishimori, and Templario. Kushida attacked Templario and removed his mask after the match.
LaBron Kozone also picked up a win over Manny Lo.
