Brock Lesnar explains recent actions, reiterates he’s retired on WWE Raw
Brock Lesnar is retired. But he’s fighting this Sunday in Italy.
Monday’s Raw started with Paul Heyman coming to the ring, saying he was there to hype a match that didn’t need hype. He introduced Lesnar, who appeared via video. He congratulated Oba Femi on his WrestleMania victory, saying he had his a** beat before, but on that night it was bad enough he said he was done. Regardless, he said it couldn’t end it like that.
“Brock Lesnar can take an a**-whooping, but can you?,” he asked Femi.
Lesnar told The Ruler that he would get his a** kicked by a “humbled, retired beast” and it would be him that rules over Femi at Clash in Italy.
Femi came to the ring and told Heyman that he may have awoken Lesnar, but asked Heyman what he thought four F5s did to him. He said he wanted Heyman alive to see him retire Lesnar a second time.
“Last time, I was fighting to beat him,” Femi said, referring to Lesnar. “This time, I’m fighting to kill him.”
The segment ended with Femi signing the contract, making their match official for this Sunday in Turin.
Lesnar seemingly retired last month, but he’s back anyway
Following his loss at WrestleMania 42, Lesnar took off his gloves and boots and laid them in the ring, seemingly retiring. WWE went far enough that they moved Lesnar to the alumni section of their website, though reports within the industry seemed to cast doubt on Lesnar’s status.
Femi was in the ring ready for his weekly open challenge on last week’s Raw when Lesnar appeared out of nowhere and attacked him. Backstage, Adam Pearce demanded an explanation from Heyman. Lesnar’s longtime advocate told the Raw General Manager that Lesnar was retired, but had a contract for Femi with Lesnar’s name on it for Clash in Italy.
