Brock Lesnar returns, huge match set for WWE SummerSlam
Hell in a Cell is coming to SummerSlam.
Brock Lesnar returned on Monday’s Raw and immediately got confrontational with Femi, laying him out with an F5. But Femi quickly recovered and threw out the challenge for SummerSlam, which takes place on August 1 & 2. Lesnar agreed but added an additional stipulation: they would meet inside Hell in a Cell.
Femi, who defeated Jey Uso to win this year’s King of the Ring tournament on Saturday, came to the ring to reveal his decision regarding who he would face in Minneapolis. Lesnar interrupted before he could make that choice and said while he doesn’t watch the product, he has heard what Femi has been saying through Paul Heyman. That was when Lesnar hit Femi low and delivered the F5.
Lesnar left the ring but Femi quickly recovered and called Lesnar a “b****” to his face, throwing out the challenge. Backstage, Pearce asked Femi if he was sure he wanted to give up the title match he earned. Femi said that the title will be there when he decides to take it.
The two are currently tied 1-1. Femi picked up the first victory at WrestleMania 42, but Lesnar won the rematch the following month at Clash in Italy.
