Charlotte Flair says Danhausen has helped her display her ‘fun, flirty, energetic’ side
Danhausen is now arguably one of the most over characters in pro wrestling and across major sports as well.
A former AEW wrestler and part of the WWE roster since Elimination Chamber 2026, Danhausen has emerged as one of the most talked-about names in the entertainment industry. With his massive rise in popularity, even Charlotte Flair has come to benefit from it.
Speaking on ESPN’s SportsCenter, Flair shared how she’d like to team up with Danhausen in WWE. Reflecting on his past and professional journey, Flair claimed that the 35-year-old has even helped her display a different side of herself.
“Oh my gosh, I love Danhausen. A little side story, if anyone knows Danhausen’s real-life story and where he started and where he is now, and to see that he’s on ice cream trucks, the curse for the Knicks, for WWE to have that pairing, especially when I’ve been a solo act for so many years, and now that I’m able to kind of show that fun, flirty, energetic, not-stoic queen, a character like Danhausen allows me to show that, like, ‘Hey, I am human. I can be funny.’ I would love that. I’d wear his cape. He’d wear one of my beautiful robes,” Flair said.
From cursing the Cleveland Cavaliers and uncursing the New York Knicks to now wrestling Dominik Mysterio at WWE SummerSlam, Danhausen’s journey has only been upward.

Only wrestling for WWE throughout her career, Charlotte Flair is currently a record-breaking 14-time World Champion. Now Flair is all in for winning her 15th World title.
“I’ve spent my entire career chasing titles, and I feel like titles chase me now. To hold number 15, what has made the last two years so special to me is that I haven’t been in the title picture, and I haven’t wrestled for a world title since WrestleMania 41.
“So, to hold 15, as much as it means to me, I hope it means something to men and women everywhere watching that no matter your age, no matter what you’ve been through, consistency, perseverance, and just showing up for yourself will get you to where you want to be,” Flair said.
“For me, it’s breaking records and making history. I love what I do. When I wake up every morning, that passion just hasn’t gone away. I hope that’s true for anyone in any industry. That’s what number 15 means. It’s bigger than just me. I think it means that anything is possible, especially for me in a male-dominated industry.”
Flair is now scheduled to compete in a Five-way ladder match for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship.
