It appears Roman Reigns isn’t the only WWE star set to appear in the film reboot of Street Fighter as old rival Cody Rhodes is reportedly set to join him.

Reported by Nexus Point News this week, Rhodes is being eyed for the role of Guile, a U.S. Air Force Colonel whose friend was killed by M. Bison and his Shadaloo organization.

No other outlet has confirmed the news, but neither Legendary Pictures or Rhodes himself has denied the report since it was released.

If accurate, Rhodes would join Reigns who has signed on to play Akuma which was confirmed last week. The cast also includes Jason Momoa, rapper 50 Cent, comedian and recent WWE Raw guest Andrew Schultz, and others. The film is set to begin production at some point this August.

It’s expected Rhodes will use his guaranteed World title shot against John Cena at August’s SummerSlam which takes place the first weekend of the month. It’s unknown how long Rhodes would be gone for if the role is indeed his.

Rhodes will also be on the big screen imminently as he has a role in the reboot of The Naked Gun which comes out on August 1st.
