Former Santos Escobar shares WWE parting message: ‘Watch me Paul and Nick’

Santos Escobar to undergo surgery for tricep injury

The former Santos Escobar has a WWE parting message for Paul Levesque (Triple H) and Nick Khan.

A part of WWE from 2019 until 2026, Escobar was released earlier this year in April 2026. His last WWE match dates back to the WWE-acquired AAA event Rey de Reyes 2026. The release seemingly was confirmed after Escobar injured himself while working in AAA.

The former Escobar, now known as Hijo del Fantasma, recently shared a WWE parting message and left behind a note specifically targeted toward Triple H and Khan.

2 days: WWE. I gave everything and that’s what was taken—no regrets. Grateful for the people, the places, and the circumstances I was placed in. I will continue to grow my legend and my mark on the industry. Watch me, Paul and Nick,” Escobar wrote. (Quotes translated from Spanish)

Seemingly released from his contract on April 24, Escobar has roughly two more days left on his 90-day no-compete clause. Following this, the 42-year-old will be free to wrestle.

Upcoming former Santos Escobar appearance announced

Shortly after announcing his upcoming free agent status on social media, Hijo del Fantasma was announced to appear at San Diego Comic-Con.

The San Diego Comic-Con is scheduled to take place from July 23 to July 26, 2026.
