Paul Heyman feels WWE has something ‘really special’ with Penta
Paul Heyman is a big fan of Penta.
On episode three of the second season of WWE: Unreal that heavily focused on the Mexican star, Heyman was shown in one of the writers’ rooms in Stamford, Connecticut, talking to some of the creative team one week after the 2025 Money in the Bank.
Heyman then delivered some thoughts on Penta to the team in the room.
“I know we said this in advance. I know we said this once he debuted, but we got something with this f**king Penta. Here are two things over time that you learn. You listen to the star pop when they come out, but you understand it’s just a star pop. In the match, when they’re selling and they start to come up, what’s the reaction?
Because that’s when they have to care about you to make your comeback. It’s those 30 seconds, and you’re selling, and you’re coming up, it’s like, ‘Goddammit, I need to do this. I need to’ and they rally behind you. Penta is over like a motherf*cker.”
Penta was part of the men’s MITB ladder match that night, but was unsuccessful as Seth Rollins picked up the victory.
“When (Penta) made that move for the ladder, they wanted him to win so bad,” he said, later reiterating “I’m telling you: we’ve got something really special with him.”
