WWE reportedly looking to sign longtime indie wrestler

WWE is going to continue to add to its ranks, according to a new report out by Fightful Select.

The outlet reported on Tuesday that WWE is likely going to bring in some new talent which includes wrestlers and a referee.

One of those talents mentioned has been rumored since May in Hiromu Takahashi who left NJPW and is expected to join Naraku (the former EVIL in NJPW) in NXT. He is expected to go under the recently trademarked name of Nox Raijin.

The new name is former MLW star Richard Holliday who Fightful’s sources said “could be signed soon if he isn’t already.” The 33-year-ld had several tryouts in the past and they noted he was even considered for the role of Mr. Elegance in TNA.

Holliday was part of The Dynasty faction in MLW alongside MJF and Alex Hammerstone. He wrestled twice in AEW in 2024, once in a three minute squash loss alongside Alec Price to LFI, most notable for what happened after the match when Holliday was attacked while he was being looked at by a doctor. The other came in a dark match loss to Serpentico.

There was no timetable given for either man to appear on WWE or WWE NXT TV.
