Roman Reigns and John Cena promos set for WWE SmackDown
Three announcements have been made for tonight’s SummerSlam go-home edition of SmackDown.
WWE has announced that tonight’s SmackDown will feature Roman Reigns and John Cena each making their final statements heading into SummerSlam. Reigns is defending his Universal Championship against Cena in the main event of Saturday’s pay-per-view.
Reigns and Cena took part in a face-to-face segment on SmackDown last Friday.
Edge is facing Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. On SmackDown tonight, Edge will make an appearance and respond to Rollins’ promo from last week. Rollins vowed to stomp Edge’s head into the mat and said he doesn’t care if that puts Edge out for good.
Tonight’s SmackDown will also feature the final build to The Usos and Rey & Dominik Mysterio’s SmackDown Tag Team title match at SummerSlam. Rey Mysterio will face Jey Uso on tonight’s show.
Rey & Dominik defeated Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode on SmackDown last Friday. The Usos appeared on the video screen near the end of the match and tried to distract The Mysterios.
SmackDown is taking place at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona tonight. Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host SummerSlam tomorrow.
