Sol Ruca makes WWE Raw debut in match against Liv Morgan
While not officially on the WWE main roster yet, Sol Ruca made her Raw debut on the Raw after WrestleMania with a big target in mind: new WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.
Morgan was celebrating her victory over Stephanie Vaquer on WrestleMania 42 Saturday with the Judgment Day when Ruca came out. She complimented Morgan and said she was the top woman in the division, something she realized back at January’s women’s Royal Rumble match (when they were the last two in the match).
Morgan didn’t take kindly to Ruca coming out, running her down and saying that she was no Liv Morgan. Ruca then said, “I didn’t come out to pick a fight, but I’m not going to back down from one either.” Raw GM Adam Pearce then came out and made the match.
Ruca got hit with Oblivion, but popped right back up and hit her Sol Snatcher but Morgan rolled out before she could get pinned. Ruca then hit a running springboard over the top rope onto Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez to a “holy sh*t” chant.
Zaria then ran in and drove Ruca into the ring post as the ref was tenting to Morgan. Ruca barely got back in the ring before getting counted out, but Morgan then hit Oblivion for a second time to get the pin.
Ruca takes on Zaria as part of Tuesday’s WWE NXT in a last woman standing match in what could be Ruca’s final NXT match before an official call-up.
While it was Ruca’s Raw debut, she appeared on Smackdown three times last year, twice on Main Event, and on last December’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, defeating Bayley.
