Sol Ruca reportedly to get ‘slight character refresh’ ahead of WWE main roster call-up

The days of Sol Ruca in WWE NXT are coming to an end sooner than later and with that are some plans to freshen up her character and presentation before she does.
On Thursday’s Wrestlevotes on Fightful Select, Ruca was discussed with the outlet reporting she is “poised for a slight character refresh” ahead of a main roster call-up which would include a new entrance song.
There is no timetable for when that call could come, but Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp stated Rua was tentatively planned to be in Chicago around the time of next weekend’s Elimination Chamber PLE.
The 26-year-old made her in-ring debut in June 2022, competing on both NXT house shows and WWE Level Up, debuting on the main NXT TV show shortly afterward. She made her main roster debut on WWE Main Event in September 2024 and competed in several WWE Speed matches in early-2025.
She made her televised WWE SmackDown debut in July 2026 in a four-way, followed by two appearances alongside Zaria in October. That was followed by a notable Saturday Night’s Main Event debut win over Bayley in December and her women’s Royal Rumble debut in 2026.
