Joseph Conners, a longtime roster member of WWE NXT UK, is now reportedly a free agent.

The news was first reported by BodySlam.net. It’s unknown whether his departure was his decision or WWE’s.

Conners made a surprise appearance for indie British Wrestling Revolution on Friday, attacking their heavyweight champion after the main event. Conners tweeted a two-minute promo Saturday afternoon along with “No Restrictions.”  On Sunday, it was announced he will be making an appearance for Wrestle Carnival in late-January.

The 34-year-old competed in the first-ever NXT UK title tournament in January 2017, but also worked frequently on the indie circuit during his time there. While mainly on the NXT UK brand, Conners did make his main roster debut in 2017 as part of 205 Live when WWE was touring in England.

He only appeared in four NXT UK matches in 2020 and just six matches this year with the last one airing in July.
