WWE SmackDown video highlights: Gunther wins Intercontinental title

Last night’s SmackDown saw the crowning of a new Intercontinental Champion.

Gunther continued his dominant run on the main roster, defeating Ricochet to win the Intercontinental title. Gunther hit a shotgun dropkick and a powerbomb at the end of the match before pinning Ricochet to get the victory.

The former WALTER is undefeated since being called up to the main roster this April. This is his second title reign in WWE. He’s previously held the NXT United Kingdom Championship.

Plus, Riddle defeated Sami Zayn last night to earn a title match against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns next week, Lacey Evans became the first wrestler to qualify for Money in the Bank, and more.
