Ridge Holland’s nightmare year continued to get slightly worse, according to a new report from Fightful Select.

The outlet reported Wednesday that WWE has terminated Holland’s contract early due to comments Holland (Luke Menzies) made on social media, considering them a “breach” according to the report.

Despite being sidelined with a lisfranc injury suffered in a September TNA match, Holland was told in October that his deal would not be renewed. The outlet didn’t note when the effective date of the early termination is, but his contract was initially reported to be up on November 14. If it was done Wednesday, he would miss nine days worth of pay.

Holland took to X Tuesday to say he felt “hung out to dry” by WWE and that he never thought he would be unable to pay his mortgage:

“I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE. Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal. Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let’s be honest, that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company. Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too. Talk about getting totally f*cked.”

Holland said two weeks ago that he also may need neck surgery.

As he recovers from the post-lisfranc surgery, WWE is expected to keep covering any related medical expenses. The 37-year-old is expected to be unavailable to wrestle for up to seven months.

He is married with a family of five.
