WWE wrestler injured, pulled from AAA Verano de Escándalo
Dragon Lee is off tonight’s AAA show.
Lee recently posted to Instagram Stories revealing that he suffered a torn ligament in his thumb on WWE Raw this week. He teamed with Je’Von Evans in a losing effort against Austin Theory and Bron Breakker. It is not clear when during the match Lee suffered the injury.
Lee says he will be unable to wrestle at tonight’s AAA Verano de Escándalo show, which airs live from Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Lee did not have an advertised match for the show. He had competed against Mini Vikingo and Jack Cartwheel in a three-way number one contender’s match for a shot at the AAA Cruiserweight Championship on the July 11 show. Mini Vikingo won the match.
Matches scheduled to air during the live portion of tonight’s show include AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio teaming with El Grande Americano against Daga and a mystery member of Perros del Mal. The AAA Mixed Tag Team titles will also be on the line as Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana defend against La Hiedra and Laredo Kid.
