B&V&C: Retro Raw and Nitro from 19 years ago this week!

The Bryan & Vinny Show is back today with tons to talk about in our look back at Raw and Nitro from May 17, 1999. Two absolutely, and I mean absolutely HORRIBLE professional wrestling TV shows, back-to-back, in an effort to kill everyone involved in this podcast. And still TWO YEARS LEFT.

Nitro had a lack of wrestling in the first hour, lots of bad wrestling in the last two hours, a hardcore match ending in a DQ, the curious case of who is in charge, Eric Bischoff talking for a long time, Charles Robinson and Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage and Madusa and a main event featuring Kevin Nash against Diamond Dallas Page for the WCW title, which included a run in by a fan that may have been the second best thing on the show.

Raw had lots of the Corporate Ministry, Meat vs. Test, the first ever encounter between the Hardyz and Edge & Christian, Al Snow’s dead deer head, The last appearance of Owen Hart, Triple H’s continuing transformation and a main event featuring Triple H taking on Steve Austin.

Hope it’s a fun show as always for you, because it’s not for us. Also be sure to check out the video of this show.
