UFC 264: McGregor vs. Poirier III to be held in Las Vegas at full capacity

For the first time since March 7th, 2020, UFC will run a show in front of fans in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Dana White announced UFC 264 will be held on July 10th at the T-Mobile Arena at full capacity.

The event will be headlined by Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier III, expected to be part of the traditional International Fight Week. Tickets will go on sale this week, but White didn't give the date. He expects 20,000 fans in attendance, a number they have only hit once there. That was UFC 229, headlined by McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov which had 20,034 and a $17.1 million gate.

This will be the third U.S.-based show UFC has put on sale at full capacity in the past month. The first (April 24th's UFC 261 in Jacksonville, Florida) sold out in minutes while the second (May 15th's UFC 262 in Houston, Texas) also sold out within minutes for a combined 32,000+ tickets.

The last show UFC ran in their home city was UFC 248, headlined by middleweight champion Israel Adesanya vs. Yoel Romero, in front of 15,077 which did a $2.7 million gate. That was also the last show the company ran in the U.S. that had fans before the pandemic shut things down.
