WWE’s Charlotte Flair out of action due to dental surgery

Charlotte Flair was suspended in storyline after Monday’s WWE Raw, but that’s not the real reason she is out of action.

TalkSport’s Alex McCarthy first reported Tuesday that Flair was having dental surgery which is the reason she is gone, confirmed by Dave Meltzer during Wednesday’s Wrestling Observer Radio.

McCarthy said she isn’t expected to be out long. Meltzer didn’t give any timeline for her return.

The 35-year-old missed WrestleMania 37 and returned the next night on Raw for the first time since a positive COVID-19 test put her on the shelf. She cut a promo earlier in the night and then attacked both Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and Asuka during their WrestleMania rematch.

Last Monday, referee Eddie Orengo was the focus of Flair’s rage after she was pinned by Asuka. Flair attacked Orengo several times and was both fined $100,000 and indefinitely suspended. It was Flair’s first match since defeating Shayna Baszler on the March 1st Raw.
